St James the Great Church, Silsoe
The vicar and congregation of St. James, Silsoe offer you a warm welcome to the parish. Whether you have recently moved to the village, have lived in the village for a while or are just visiting you are invited to join us at one of our services and enjoy refreshments with us, which are now served after most of our services.
The services for each month can be seen by clicking on the ‘Benefice’ button and then on ‘services’. In addition to the regular pattern of services, you are welcome to attend any of the additional services or events organised by the Church throughout the year.
Ash Wednesday: the Imposition of Ashes
Lent: this year a course is being run by the Bishop of Bedford
Easter: services are held on Good Friday and Easter Day
Harvest: when there is a traditional service as well as the harvest supper
All Souls: a service to remember loved ones past
Christmas: a Carol Service at which the 3churches choir sings; Blessing of the Crib and Christingle Services - both with children in mind; Midnight Communion

The Church is supported by the 3Churches choir, who sing at the service on the third Sunday in the month, a band of bell ringers and groups of dedicated volunteers who help with the flowers, Church cleaning including the brasses and the occasional Church and Church yard “spring clean”. More helpers are always very welcome.
